Artist Statement:
I Have Always Found Art To Be The Means To Express The Sounds My Mouth Cannot Produce. I Create Because I Need To, To Vent The Frustrations That Cloud Within. Art Is The Catalyst That Gives Me Purpose To Life; The Eye Of The Storm Where Purpose Becomes clarity.
There’s So Much Evil In The world. Through It All I Bare The Mask Of Stoicism, But Beneath All I Am Just Another Device To The Tides of chaos. Art is my sword. It Is My Agency Within This Unknown Sea; My Northern Star To Guide Me.Without Art There Is No Purpose To Me, As There Would Be No Channel Outward For The Energy Within My Heart. The Emotion Of Man Can Create Untold Beauty And Unfathomable Pain. I Believe It Is My Responsibility As An Artist To Produce Both In The Form Of A Language That Defies Speak And Writing. To Call Myself An Artist I Must Take The Good, The Bad And The Ugly, All Facets Of The World Around Me Reflected In Mirrors And Hiding Within The Folds And Crevices Of The Images That Swell In The Back Of My Head; I Must Take These Whirlwinds Of Dilemma And Transmute Them To Physical Expression. This Metamorphosis Of Conscious To Creation Is The Clearest Explanation Of Myself. Without This, I Am But A Shell Cradling Static Within Its Bore.
My Hope For My Artwork Is To Be Intimate On Level My Audience May Not Be Entirely Aware Of, Yet Entirely Immersed In. I To Stimulate and Intrigue With My Art, To Challenge And Puzzle My Audience, All While Creating The Question Of More. I Don’t Mean This In a Commodified Sense. More So, I Hope The People Who Witness The Ideas I Present And Find A Solace In The Imagery That They Could Not Uncover Elsewhere. Just As My Art Helps Me Understand Myself, I hope It Can Deliver The Same Gift Onto Others.
